Cushie Butterfield
She’s a big lass – and a bonny lass. And she likes her beer. And they call her Cushie Butterfield. And I wish she was here.
He met her at the Stagecoach as she sang with the band She was built like a gymnast, she had just climbed the Grand He asked her to dance, and he bought her a brew She said, “Don’t waste my time, boy, I’m too tough for you.”
She said, “I’ve rowed the Grand Canyon and kayaked the Snake Free-climbed El Capitan - twice in one week” He gave her a kiss and said, “My love is true.” She said, “Don’t waste my time, boy, I’m too tough for you.”
She said, “I’m flying to Maui with my custom surf boards And then off to Norway to base-jump the fiords.” He said, “I’ll drive you home” – she said, “You’re out of luck. Don’t waste my time, boy, go sleep in your truck.”
She got on her Harley, and waved a goodbye. He stood in the door with a tear in his eye. She said, “I still like you, I’ll come back someday. But – don’t waste my time, boy,” - and she rode away.
